Ads can be purchased by Members using Classified Ads 'Points'. Non-Members can only create 'Wanted' adverts.
Members are given a 1000 points as a starter package. The points you have can be checked by logging in and going to 'My Points' under the CLASSIFIEDS Menu. This allocation last a long time so is pretty much a one time only request.
(In the unlikely event of you using up all your points, more can be requested via firstname.lastname@example.org.)
The allocation of points to new members is, unfortunately, a manual process so new members may find they don't immediately have points. In this case then please contact email@example.com stating your membership number, to request your points package.
I AM LOWERING THE PRICE, AS KEEN TO SELL INTO THE SAAB CLUB. PLEASE COME TO SEE THE CAR - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. SMALL VALUE P/EX CONSIDERED (CAR OR MOTORBIKE).
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire an almost factory-fresh early Saab 900, with less than 10,000 recorded miles:
In 1978, the 900 was Saab’s most important new model for a generation. Svelte yet capacious, famously aerodynamic and uniquely engineered, this compact luxury coupe established Saab world-wide as a maker of innovative yet highly robust motorcars. Impact absorbing bumpers, longitudinal engine and transaxle providing weight over the driven front wheels for supreme traction (like Issigonis’ Mini), but with double wishbone suspension and equal-length driveshafts to eliminate torque-steer (unlike the Mini), dashboard ergonomics inspired by aircraft cockpits, cabin air filter, plastic fuel tank mounted inboard of the rear axle….the list of technical accomplishments and modern safety standards goes on.
This 900 GLS, with a 1,985 cc twin carburettor engine and four speed manual gear box, was specified in Moss Green with complimenting pale green velour trim and power steering by Mr Dennis Oates of Keithley, Yorkshire in June 1979. He remained the registered keeper until November 2016, whereupon records suggest the car had covered no more than 6,000 miles. One more registered keeper, and time with Bocking Garage and The Spinning Wheel, then brought it to its current owner; a chartered mechanical engineer who has patiently recommissioned the car, with significant expenditure. It is now fit for the daily use for which it was originally intended.
The car is now offered for sale due to an unfortunate change in circumstances, recently serviced, with new tyres, rear seat belts and a fresh MOT, and must be unique in this condition; a must for any serious Saab enthusiast or collector, and a strong investment. It is simply a joy to drive; elegant and comfortable with light, yet precise, handling. The power delivery is very smooth and this thoroughly adept motorcar is more than up to the task of keeping up with modern traffic.
