This year the annual SaabFest returns to the West Country
in the grounds of Haselbury Mill near Crewkerne,
Exciting plans are afoot for the Saab festival weekend.
We have a display of Saab Turbos from the first to the last,
and to celebrate 10 years of the 9-3 Carlsson we plan to
have one in each colour that was available, Black, White,
We invite you to arrive on the Friday afternoon as there
will be a hog roast BBQ and a licensed bar, along with musical
entertainment to help soak up the long summer evening.
Saturday will be a day not to miss, as we plan to have a
special guest speaker from within Saab in Sweden who is
going to present a talk on the early years of Saab and the
forming of the company. This will be held in the Tithe Barn,
(the only ‘new’ medieval tithe barn in the UK for 300 years).
During the day there will be activities for adults and children
alike, with a vintage bus ride and a miniature train ride.
Saturday evening’s three course meal in the tithe barn
will be accompanied by musical entertainment complete
with a licensed bar. Sunday is of course the day where
you can choose and vote for your favourite Saab to round
off the festival.
Camping and caravan facilities will be on site along with
toilets and showers, plus a limited number of electric hook
ups. Haselbury Mill also has a small quantity of rooms
available if you prefer.
